any thoughts?

Eurynome Bartleby [Bartleby's] June 15 2008 11:51 AM EDT

So it can be countered by AMF? Why?

Frost June 15 2008 11:52 AM EDT

why would it be countered by amf.....?

[P]Mitt June 15 2008 11:56 AM EDT

AMF reduces magic damage as well as dealing damage back to the caster.

QBsutekh137 June 15 2008 11:57 AM EDT

You mean only + on AC stops it?

Is that not already the case?

I'm not sure...

GA: Guardian Angel. Look at this way: when somebody attacks you, your Angel picks up their attack and throws it back at them. So if they shoot you with an arrow they get their arrow back. If they hit you with a fireball they get it back.

The GA itself may be magic, but there's no reason to make the damage magic.

lol Johnny your funny angels throwing arrows and fireballs

QBJohnnywas June 15 2008 12:02 PM EDT

lol;

However on a serious note: from the 'official' description: "GA damage type is the same as that for which GA is retaliating."

That's been heavily disputed, but I can't think of a thread with a complete attempt to confirm it is in fact a separate kind of damage altogether.

Nov - Duke did a lot of work in that area. I forget his results.

It seems to be reduced by physical AC to me.

TheHatchetman June 15 2008 5:19 PM EDT

my heavy tank feared no GA...

QBJohnnywas June 15 2008 5:23 PM EDT

Your heavy tank only feared toilet breaks. When the choice was tin opener or rust....
