A thought for balancing evasion... (in General)

Possibly making evasion less effective vs 1h weapons? Logistically one could weild a one handed weapon faster than a big slow hard hitting 2hander. This would provide incentives for greater tank gear diversity and provide a non-binary counter to the most exploited tank defense.

Making the curve for Evasion steeper by all accounts would be fine with me.

not a bad idea at all.. hopefully when the curve is generally steepened, this idea can go into the works 8)

AoL, BoF, and especially the GoM, MenC...

That's exactly what Jon is trying to do. And, I haven't seen any numbers on it, but I'd guess that 1h weapons would be a great counter to Evasion.

In order to represent this, 1H weapons already have a higher base chance to hit than 2H.
