# $606,375 bid by Central Bank (Mr. Chairman) on 6:07 PM EDT
# $600,000 (max bid: $600,000) bid by Suqataqus (Suqataqus) on 12:00 PM EDT
For a MenC. What confuses me is the past five sold for less than my bid, with no autobid from Central Bank. Why did it pick on my auction?

That is interesting. Central Bank is tricky and wily but the MenC that SOLD just before only went for $392,755 .
Does Central Bank consider auction listing values even for items that don't sell?
The one listed for a BIN of 1 mil that didn't sell?

you say that as if it was a CRAZY question but since we do not know for sure how he works (and I don't suppose we need to) questions are bound to come up when an item goes from selling at auction for under 400k to a CB bid of 600k on the next sold auction. I know people have griped about being out bid before but in this case Sugataqus bid just over 200k over what the last one sold for. Would have seemed like a safe bid to me too.
surely Central Bank has to consider a bid in the first place which is then standardised by the following sales.
Therefore CB's original valuation was higher and is being brought down gradually by the market.
or am i clutching at straws Jon?
