Mgs/EH absorbing all magic damage (in General)

Patty (a minion on Frantic Feeda), is using a MgS +30 and an EH +32 and is reducing some serious magic damage. In some cases Patty isn't taking any magic damage at all. I've read through the changelog but can't see any changes that would explain the following battle results. Am I missing something?

I use a mage shield/EH combo myself and it's pretty damn effective.

But I, even with a ToE involved never see 'no damage' on my guy. I've just attacked you, with my 3.2 million level CoC. You're reducing a hell of a lot of damage on that minion...

Nope; not seeing it at all, with a +40 named Mage Shield and a +37 EH AND a ToE.

You're reducing more than me.....

It may be something to do with encumbrance not working correctly because the minion in question is severely encumbered at around 0.75.

is this still an issue?

Well apparently it was something about how ENC works with DD so probably not a huge issue.
