does anyone know why we get to allow googleapis.com for the CB page to work properly?
I have a script-blocker installed in firefox and since today (Wed Jun 25 05:00:16 EDT) I can see that the above site site is trying to execute a java script while nothing works in CB's page.
any ideas?

What Script blocker have you got?

NoScript

I believe that CB uses a script hosted on the aforementioned site. So you'll have to allow it for CB to work :)

I just did, it's just felt strange for only a few button not to work
that is: Higher/Lower/Reset and Specify
everything else worked fine
how about the chat applet?
Was that affected in any way?

nope, only the buttons I mentioned above
I thought it was kind of odd too... because up until last night, the only script on the list was carnageblender.com

exactly, and to be honest, I don't trust outside site scripts, even if they come from well known servers as those of google's.
I remember the last time I saw a weird script in a site (oblvion's site) , I just ignored it and next day I logged in I found out that a large portion of the users had their computers crashed bc of a script-virus, ...*that* script virus.
Fortunately my blocker didn't let it run.
