meh. I knew the bid incriment, so I just outbid myself by 1 incriment + $1, because i thought central bank would bid. the dollar wasn't necessary, but I didn't want to have to deal with central bank making a post about how someone paid the same price he offered but got the item, so i gave him the satisfaction of being legitimately outbid ^_^

"meh. I knew the bid incriment,"
Sometimes the bid increment doesn't always show correctly. For example, if the min bid was 800, and the current high bid is 75,000, most often the text box will read "800" where I will have to backspace and guess the next increment.
Not that this means anything, but I'll throw it out there anyway...
soon as you place your bid, the auction page is refreshed, and the number in the box is changed to the next minimum bid increment...

Nope, I rarely get that. It will default to the min bid, or at least something lower than the next increment, about ~50% of the time.
This is on Firefox 2.0 no matter what computer I'm on. I suspect simple caching issues.
It's no big deal really, I just thought I'd throw it out there.
I've seen that too, at times, Bob. I'm not sure why it happens some times and not others.
Nice one, hatch.
