interface suggestion (in General)

i would like others feedback on this as i think it would be easier, but possibly not all would agree.

i would like for the "manage" link in the sidebar to actually take us, with a single click, to our active character. now it takes us to our "owner" page which includes our list of characters.

especially since we no longer have score, pr and mpr on our equip page, i would like to get there with one click. if we need to look at a different character we could always click on our owner name from our active character page and thus get our list. it would make extra clicks to get to our list, but the trade-off would be faster access to our active character.

i would like one place where we see the things at the top of the equip page and the things at the top of the train page all in one place.

equip has mtl and cash on hand. train has score, pr & mpr. manage char has a plethora but on mtl.

could we possibly have at least one area that at the top it has:

score, pr, mpr, cash on hand and mtl. if so can we have it so that this area can be accessed with one click only. thanks!

Why not put it all on the sidebar? And a refresh link for the sidebar.

You can refresh the sidebar yourself. Right click -> this frame -> reload. Depends on the browser, but its a frame, so you can do it.

i think he probably meant a single-click way to refresh it instead of a right-click, line up and wait for pop-out, then left-click method.

lazy, lazy.

there seems to be a very fine line indeed between efficiency and laziness. the older you get the more that line moves as well! : )

Oh come on it's not hard to add a button. It's almost just as easy as to add a button to refresh the sidebar by right clicking. If it wasn't going to be implemented I'd figure out how to add it with Greasemonkey. Besides do you really want people who don't know about that or are too lazy to refresh over and over in chat?

I like the manage page the way it is. You can get all the info you need with 1 extra click. Suck it up and push that finger down one more time. :)

i have often wondered at times like this if jon can do some type of click analysis and actually see the patterns on what people do most often. click manage and then choose the active character or a different character.

i would think that any type fo interface design would look at such stats and let the patterns dictate design guidelines but i just don't know how easy it is to gather such usage patterns.
