The Last Lecture - Dr. Randy Pausch (in Off-topic)

I just watched this video of a talk given by Dr. Randy Pausch from Carnegie Mellon University in what used to called the "Last Lecture Series", where professors would give a talk assuming this would be their last lecture.

Unfortunately for Dr. Pausch, he was diagnosed with cancer, and knew in advance that he only had 3 to 6 months of healthy life left before he would begin to succumb to the disease, so this was in fact his last lecture. Sadly, he passed away a few days ago on July 25th, but I was deeply moved by this lecture, both by its content and his presentation and attitude.

It is a very inspirational talk, and I would encourage everyone to take the time to watch it (set aside some time as it is 1 hour and 15 minutes long):

My wife bought his book "The Last Lecture", we both have watched the YouTube video and some television specials on him. What an incredible person! Oh, if we all looked at life with such fervor and zest.

Thanks for reminding me again Xenko.

indeed, this lecture is worth watching. I'd say the best lecture I've ever seen. I watched it a few days ago for the first time, when I read a report of his death.
