Why not let SS also enhance the armor bonuses based on type of armor worn by the minion?
Say for example if a minion gets 30% DX and 50% ST bonus with the armor then, let SS improve the overall bonuses also by a flat value of around +10%.
Just an opinion so don't nuke me for this.

I think it would make SS a little to powerful. It's really the only skill a wall can use besides PL, and most people using buffing armor are going with archery,evasion, or bloodlust.
a 10% boost to ST and DX, would be very helpful but.. the way SS is setup you'd be putting a bunch of XP into it, which you could have just funneled into st/dx in the first place.
Although i do believe it is underpowered atm, this would not help in the sense im thinking. Maybe have it grant a little something like protection did.

It's a bit of a sad state that SS works best for minions NOT training HP. It's kind of an anti-wall wall skill.

Thats like saying Bloodlust works best on minions that don't train Strength - it's therefore an anti-tank, tank skill :P
What would you link Steel Skin with? DX or ST? It has to be HP because that's what walls train.

I say, have SS be made into an defensive enchantment that increases AC by the level of the SS!

SS is basically a slot filler for walls so they don't use evasion, it hasn't really had a huge effect on mine, though that might be because I use a PL wall to back it up.

I just thought that it would do well to improve this skill to a semi-tank skill, considering that all skills for tanks are aimed at either melee or ranged rounds. I would definitely like to see an OFFENSIVE skill that is useful in both melee and ranged rounds for tanks. By enhancing ST and DX, this will be possible. And I don't really think that it would be overpowered if a slight balancing could be carried out here, say reducing the AC effect by 10% and adding that 10% to improving ST, DX. Moreover it's not necessary that it trains a flat 10% increase in ST/DX. Base it on a curve similar to Archery between 0.0 to 1.0 and let the max increment be 10%. How about that?
Besides, right now even with training 1/8th of the total HP (which is by far the lowest ratio I've ever seen), I don't really see it as being that effective.

My guess would be that most people wouldn't use it, but it's not a bad idea despite not really making sense with the name steel skin, but whatever.

I think it would work well on a single minion tank team.
