Please please please jon change the time out time to like 5mins? browser froze on a botcheck and didnt show the picture... tried everything and even restarted browser... but it wouldnt load... then it told me i failed -.-" i mean seriously... this is wrong
On the topic of bot checks, could someone suggest how I can turn off Firefox auto-completion only on the bot checks? I must have failed a handful in the last couple of days just because of the auto-completion 'feature'.

Is it really necessary to check someone 5 or 6 times (sometimes it's more) during a 160 burn session?? I wouldn't know a bot if it fell in my lap.Still think this feature of the game needs a rework.A couple of random checks should be enough.

I tend to get a bot check every ten battles. I'd agree this needs a huge toning down. If it checks once every fifty battles that's still enough to catch a bot. But seriously, once every thirty seconds? Come on.

What if supporters have the option to reduce the frequency of botchecks. So people who enjoy them can still enjoy them?

Good thing my last sentence(s) wasn't for a grammar class...

I just think botchecks should be toned down. New players probably hate all the botchecks thrown at them, at veterans get hacked as well seeing them pop up ten or fifteen times in one BA cycle.
If Jon wants to do a "supporter-only" feature to reduce botchecks, that's cool... even though I do think it's a bit unfair to new players. -_-

Anybody for more bot checks? :-)
Yes, let's have MORE of them!!! I like all the new four letter words I learn and the fun combinations that come up.
once I had 5 bot checks in a row... was quite annoying

I have been away on vacation and having very slow edge connection on my iphone I had I think three occurrences where my botcheck timed out before the page even loaded and had to pay the fine to keep fighting.
I would like the time to be extended to at least 10 mins.
Another thing I would like to propose is to change the suspension to only stop BA accrual for the 60 mins and not further fighting. That way I can continue to burn the BA I have saved up and just not get any new BA during the suspension. The price currently for me if I get a suspension is around 250K, that is quite steep imo.

I hate botchecks. Honestly, I "fail" at least 2-3 a week. It is very very annoying.
I would like to see the time increased to over 5 minutes and the occurances of them to go way down. OUt of any page I have ever been on in my entire life, CB has more botchecks then them. Even very high profile sites like myspace and facebook who have money making scams/spammers everywhere don't use as many of these annoying botchecks.
I bet maybe 1 in 100 people to play CB have even thought of using a bot. With this every 10 or so fight botcheck, It really sucks when u can't read the lame cursive or if you go to another page for a second only to come back and see that you have to pay a huge fine to burn the rest of your BA.
What is the point of the overpriced fine? I get what 21 BA in 60mins? Thats about 20-30k $ and XP. Why charge me 200k+ just to keep fighting?
Supporter feature or not, I will take it. It is just plain stupid to have so many botchecks on a text based game where USD plays a lot less value now.
1 botcheck will stop a bot. That is all you need per BA set. Ma botchecks is just a hassle. Im willing to bet more the one newbie has quit and never came back due to failing a botcheck and saying, "I have to wait an hour! Forget this!"
PLEASE JON, Change the botcheck system.
Ranger, you say that you think 1 in 100 players have thought about making a bot. I think that you underestimate the technical acumen of the CB players here.
I, for one, have thought about it, although never implemented such a system, if only because it's not obvious to me why such a system should be difficult to write, and it would be a challenge to do so.
Back in CB1 days, there WERE people who were banned for having bots, and from memory, the bots performed reasonably well.
However, I would agree with those people who ask for an extension on the bot check wait time. IMHO, a bot would NOT gain a huge advantage from such an extension, and surely, punishing players with connection problems is not the aim of the exercise.

idk but im a NUB but i dont really get that many bot checks
I'd like to see additional measures taken to prevent bots.
Of the known tests to check

on the other end of the line...
which would work
better than the existing system?

I get tons of botchecks, but mostly only when forging. Would love to see less whilst forging. Oh well.
