To be fixed: 2 items with same stats (can't tell!) (in General)

If I have say a pair of NSC's +10 that are mine and a pair of NSC's +10 that are rental.. I have no way of telling which is which. Is there any way Jon can put a tag next to every rental item that says -rental- or -loan-. That would make it a LOT more convenient then selling to store and hoping it's the one you can't sell. More than one person have had this issue! I've had it many times. Thanks!

Without risking an hour loan I can't think of anyway for a user to test this... it would be a nice touch.

Agreed, it is a hassle, with the current system you have to pay xfer fees, bs fees, or store fees just to figure out which is which.

Let's see how long it takes to get fixed now.

Can you transfer rental items between characters? (Your own or others' chars)

I also request we be unable to blacksmith rented items. I accidentally upgraded a rented base combat gi to +50 before I realized it wasn't the base one I just bought. Luckily it all got sorted out but I could have lost a bunch of money there if (I don't remember who I rented it from) decided to keep the gi.

If you equip a pair then check the disenchant section of blacksmith. If it shows then it's yours. If it doesn't it's the rental.

This would be the chance to add to the "Equip" page item menu for rental items to be sent back to the rental system.

That doesn't work, because you can disenchant items which aren't equipped. You have to move it to another of your chars.

You're right - I hadn't noticed that. I guess moving to another character is the only real way. I knew I had a bank character for a reason.

i don't think you can tell even if you send to another one of your chars. It has to be a whole different user...

everyone should TEST what they're saying before they say it. The manage page does NOT show you which of your chars it's on...

either way (if i'm wrong or not) it would be VERY convenient if Jon could color-coat or label rented/loaned items. Obviously game interface is important :)

Who's talking about manage? We're talking about moving it to another char, then checking disenchant.

It took Jon a week and 3 different threads before he fixed the rentals bug i kept bringing up. He'll fix it when he has time im sure. Until then there are ways around it they are just a hassle and/or costly.

Coloring it a different color won't work because text color can be changed through the browser options, which would probably override the color of the page. Not only that, but think of all the colorblind people that play CB! What would they think? =/

A tag would work 100% though. I think just slapping "(Rental)" at the end of every rental item works perfectly.
