Question regarding Katanas (in General)

So I'm dumbfounded here. I always thought Katanas were considered a "rare" in regards to the auctioneer, and as such, always spawned in auctions. However, I have noticed recently that there seem to be some base Katanas spawned in the store (or at least, I am unable to find the player who sold them to the store to begin with).

So here is the basic question: do Katanas spawn in the store, in auctions, or both due to some strange phenomenon?

I've never seen one in the store, but that doesn't mean they don't spawn there too.

Or some people might be selling them. I think they sell for ~ $5000, so if you can get them in auctions for less, you can make a quick buck.

I think both, or at least that's how it was when i first joined, because i remember asking the same question.

:P They are rare and don't spawn in stores. If ya see one, a player just sold it to the store over 24h ago, and it hasn't been refreshed out yet. ^_^

Well I've gotten 8 Katanas from the store now, only 4 of which I've been able to "track down". The other four are "phantoms".

Shrug.
