Its something about the regular people not being able to question the goverment official's wages....? Whats up with that? These people get paid waaay to much. Nothings gonna change its just millionaires representing millionaires. These people are getting paid to much and its always in the family that get these positions. Theres been rumors of a civil war happening in the next 15-20 years

I think there have been rumors of "civil" war since the last one happened, it's not likely in a county this pacified.

The Twenty-seventh Amendment simply states the following:

No law, varying the compensation for the services of the Senators and Representatives, shall take effect, until an election of Representatives shall have intervened.

Effectively, senators and representatives cannot vote themselves a pay raise without first waiting for a biennial election in the House of Representatives. The idea is to give the voters time to vote out elected officials to attempt to pick the public purse.

Lol it went into action in 1992. Their wages do increase though by a lot at nearly annual intervals its not called a raise though they use the term cost of liveing adjustments. Just to show noone knows whats in the amendments
