Store prices... (in General)
Can we get the store prices for tattoo's dropped?
At the bottom end it's much too easy to give up looking for a buyer and sell to the store.

This better be a joke. Don't PENALIZE players because tattoos are so silly to use nowadays. Give players a reason to use tattoos and the price will go up on it.
Actually the problem is that it's completely unfeasible to play without one. There is no balance between using a tat/rune and not...
The only solution I can think of is to severely nerf all tats/runes, and remove the restriction of 1 per character to 1 per minion.

Allowing rentals of them again would also work

I look at it this way, a 400k tat goes to the store for 1.6m
New users shouldn't have to pay that much for a mildly boosted tat...

my other response was purely sarcasm. i do think that the reasons for tats being removed from rentals are no longer valid and they should be added back to the rental system as well.
I actually think rentals would be exploitative of the users renting them... better to make it easier to get your own tattoo.
We could have in-system tattoo-leveling services!
You could go to rentals, put your tattoo in, and, along with the listing fee, put in a certain extra amount, based on how much NW you want added. There's a field for percentage of NW added paid, and then someone can rent your tattoo and get paid a percentage of the NW they added to your tat (from the amount you put in along with your listing fee). That way, a new user can use a tattoo for free, rather than having to pay a rental fee in order to use a tat. With this, they could also work faster towards acquiring their own tat.

i think it is stated clearly everywhere get your own tat and start working it up.
i do think any negative to tat rentals is outweighed by the fact that we cannot easily change tats around to see how different ones work with our strategy or play with new strategies in general due to the changes with the tat artist. if we could rent tats then that would alleviate some of the difficulty with strat testing.

This isn't Pokemon; you don't just send your Pokemon to someone (the system) and have them level it so you can pick it up later and have it boosted.

250k for a tat is not much considering how much money NUBs make. Where is the problem here? Show me one new user complaining about not being able to get a tat... *insert cricket noises*
SNK, I was referring to putting it into the rentals system, except that the person borrowing it doesn't have to pay to rent; instead, they get compensation that comes out of an increased listing fee by the tat owner.
that rental seems unnecessarily complicated. why not just free rentals? much simplier that way and not being a noob trap. (I think it is worth a lot to have extra level on tattoos - you don't want noobs just renting them and suffer when they eventually get to high level)

If you give compensation for renting them, then one person would just rent them all and not level any of them.

The nature of the tattoo market is that small ones are useful, huge ones are useful, but anything in between struggles to sell for much above store price.
I don't think it's because tattoo's are useless that some get sold to the store though. I think tattoo's are very useful, it's just that with the medium sized ones, most people either are starting out (or reinking) and want a small one for cheap, or are established players who already have a bigger one.
I guess store price for tattoo's could be lowered but I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing if a few end up sold to the store.
