AMF // Decay (in General)

I'm confused, I often spend a lot of time reading the battle reports, seeing how every fight goes, etc etc... but this fight has me confused...

Ok first off...

El Modinnho cast Antimagic Field on EC Battery (0.88)
El Modinnho cast Antimagic Field on AMF Battery (0.99)
El Modinnho cast Vampiric Aura on Kano-san (?)
El Modinnho cast Vampiric Aura on El Modinnho (?)
Modeath cast Antimagic Field on EC Battery (0.89)
Modeath cast Antimagic Field on AMF Battery (1.00)

EC Battery is wearing +11 NSC so he has a .89 AMF on him...

Now to the weird part...

EC Battery takes damage from his own Decay (3)!
EC Battery's Decay hit Kano-san [17853]
El Modinnho absorbs damage [17853]
AMF Battery takes damage from his own Decay (4)!
AMF Battery's Decay hit Kano-san for no damage

Now that continues every round.

I think it's kind of strange that such a huge AMF compared to the base decay is only returning 2 or 3 damage a round..

What gives? I could have sworn I've taken AMF backlashes of like 40-50k from the base decay before :S

AMf from Decay returns a percentage of your HP in damage, as opposed to a flat amount like other DDs.

AMF makes you hurt yourself with the spell like how you hurt your enemy. So if you can 1/2 enemy's HP with decay, if it reflects 1.0 on yourself, you can also 1/2 your own HP.

That said, I still don't know why decay still exist in the game. No one really wants to train it more than base nowadays with introduction of SG. It's either overpowering damage for virtually no cost or ultimately useless. IMHO everything in game should have ROI in terms of experience spent , this is the only exception I guess.

Thanks, I understand now. I was confusing GA backlash with AMF backlash.

What's RoI mean?

And why does it return more damage the second shot if it's just a percentage of your HP? It should reduce every time.

RoI = Return On Investment

The second Decay is a different minion casting it, hence the higher AMF backlash.
