Rare Items and Tournaments (in General)

Would it be possible to make it so that tournament characters can't buy rare items? Or get their own selection?


Tournament characters do not have to worry about their finances once a tournament is over so they can simply bid until they're out of money. It's not fair to players who are trying to buy gear to have to pay inflated prices.

And of course some would say that you could just pay the extra bit and be done with it. But this creates artificial inflation on the item, the price went up because for awhile there was suddenly a huge amount of spare gold in the game and so players had to pay more to win an auction.

Just my opinion/rant.

finance still matters in the first 4 to 6 days, I say stop all function of auction after 6 days up. odds are you don't need to buy more stuff anyway.

I do think that having separate items that only tourney characters can bid on would make a lot of sense. It is, after all, somewhat difficult to acquire rare items on a tournament character, and tanks need to be able to compete with mages, who have an obvious advantage in tournaments.

Why does everyone keep saying Mages have an advantage over tanks, wherever you guys get your info you are WRONG.

I'd agree with that; if you get hold of a bow early on you're pretty much guaranteed to do better than a mage. I've seen it happen many times.

Tanks rely on good equipment which is hard to get in a tourney. Mages rely on experience, which is much easier to get.

Not really when you get 400% bonuses to both money and exp.

I think them being able to purchase rares isn't really a problem in order for tournaments to have non-mage teams it's a fairly important spect to tournaments.

It would be nice if tourney prizes got all the items after the tournaments were over so the non-rares could be sold to the store for future tournament funds and rares could be used for prizes.
