More changemonth weaseling (in Changelog)

Had a presentation at the local python users group Thursday, son's birthday party yesterday, and presenting at postgresql conference west Sunday. Not to make excuses but I have not had much time to finish changemonth.
Rather than extending things indefinitely here is what we will try: I'm going to pick one change to finish up (next week, I expect) and the rest will wait until December. I am adding a new skill, Armor Proficiency, that will reduce the penalties (and only the penalties) from wearing armor. Other than that, changemonth is over.
Of course, I will continue to make bug fixes and non-balance-related changes as I have time. Such as resetting MPB just now.

i believe that the new skill will revive heavy armor mage. Looking forward to it.
whoa... interesting way to force a choice
/me runs to go find an Adam
i would really love to see, for selfish reasons solely, single minions (& only single minions) get a little love and for armor proficiency to also allow them to equip body armor along with a tat. if that would truly be too overpowering with special abilities, then maybe only mcm's or other non-special items could be equipped.
ow yes single FB mage with heavy armor FTW!

heck no u want to go single minion well so be it thats your tactical choice but u should get no added bonuses for having less than 4 minions, 3 or even 2 sorry
a tactical choice usually implies a tactical advantage no? what is the tactical advantage given by single minion status? remember that with a roe anyone can get xp concentration now.

i'm sorry the main point of this game is to develope a teeeaaammm if u choose to stay single u are trying to concentrate your exp and that is either to your gain or detriment if your having trouble hire another minion like the rest of us
^and "added bonus" usually implies an inherent bonus. please state one inherent bonus unique to single minion strategies.
see above, anyone can concentrate xp now.

their is no inherent bonus nor should be get another minion
then i would say that likewise there should be no inherent bonus to having more slots. so lets make all teams have only five armor slots with two being used by tats if you choose to do so.
you can also only have one skill per team, one dd, one weapon, etc...
this was my choice to stay single, you are correct in that. the choice was made when staying single had one inherent advantage though. the jon giveth and the jon taketh away. i am merely asking him to giveth something back or remove single minions from the game if it is all about teams!
Holy crap! I wonder what will happen when Hatch sees this thread.
So wait... if you equip heavy armors with a skill penalty, and then train the Armor Proficiency skill, how high do you have to get it by training through the armor penalties before you get your penalties reduced by it?
I wouldn't want to have to try to work out the numbers on what a fair xp penalty would be to reduce an armor penalty... trade a skill slot and some XP for what could be otherwise be BL or Archery. I'm thinking more of heavy chanters than trying this on a tank. Mages, now that could be interesting.

TSA's will be the standard for mages after this.

I'm more interested in how the Python users group went.
i wonder if the negation of all spells caused by equipping a mage shield is considered a penalty?

Can you please fix the
create-a-clan bug? Been having it for a while now.

So will this be a Steel-Skin-like skill, where the level needs to be a certain ratio of HP, or will this be an evasion-like skill that reduces the penalties to 1/effect ? Or maybe NW-based ?
meh, training Armor Proficiency means you are not getting steel skin. Not sure which is the more efficient way of getting AC. I think this is intended for teams like SFBM, where you can get a bigger share of XP back from the HoC.
