Looking for a laptop:) (in Off-topic)

Okay so currently I am attending a college where they provide you with a laptop. I am using a Ibm thinkpad R60 nothing too special but it does the job. Anyway the thing is I'm going to need a laptop for the 3 months or so i'm not attending school in the summer. Since its such a short period i do not want to spend that much 500 bucks at tops. I have been looking at those little acer's that are like 350. Anyone have suggestions or no of other machines that will do the job?

I like my little acer. It is a good machine, if you can live with the obvious limitations.
