Having trouble picking a major. (in Off-topic)

Hi all, one of my professor's gave me an assignment to help me pick the classes for the next semester. As of right now I dont have a plan for a major. I've just been taking liberals. I guess i'm looking for help as to what would maybe be my best bet on majors to try out? It has to be something interesting. I've thought about maybe trying out a respritory care minor, just because I have family thats done that, but i really dont know. I guess list, where the job openings will be, and what you guys have found interesting. thanks =D.

Engineering FTW!

The experts predict that the average member of our generation will go through 4 to 6 career changes before retiring. Not job changes, but career changes. So my advice is major in everything you can, so that you have qualifications in your 6 desired career fields.

Being a nuclear power plant operator should be a good occupation in future if they decide to start opening up new plants again. Actually, I think that they're running out of people to run the old ones, too.

History and political science are interesting, but you usually end up writing textbooks and teaching high school social studies with those majors.

Mechanical Engineering.

Aeronautics.

I dunno, just some ideas.

if you like math you can try Actuarial Science

Philosophy.

Depends on what you like, though if you enjoy math/science I would strongly recommend you take a few Engineering classes, as that is a very well paying and in-demand field.

Philosophy FTW.

Sociology is my major right now, although I'm taking the next semester off to get a house and work to make some money, and I'm switching to music soon, probably Performance. But philosophy is one of those majors that helps you no matter where you decide to go.

thanks guys, yes I enjoy math/science but in high school my junior year I had trouble just getting through chemistry, and the only reason i passed was as a favor from the teacher basically. In math I got through advanced alg and never took trig. So even though I somewhat enjoy those two subjects they may not be my strongest.
