Okay, so I do everything on my laptop. It's a Satellite A215-S4757. Now, the help I need is about it's built in webcam. For some reason, whenever I bring up the camera assist software, it says the drivers can't be found or activated and then to reset my laptop/camera. Well, needless to say, I've tried resetting my laptop. Same error message.
So, my questions.
1) How do I reset the camera itself? I've looked, and simply can't find it.
2) If the drivers are missing, where can I get the drivers from?
Also, when I try to repair the software, it asks for a disc. There is no disc, so anything requiring one won't work.
Thanks for any help y'all can provide. (I'm using Vista, if it matters)
if you do not have the disk, you would likely need to hit the manufacturer's web site and download the web cam driver there. the only surefire way that i know of resetting the camera would be to remove it from device manager if it shows up there or camera/scanner wizard if you even can from there.

I checked out the Toshiba site, but for the life of me it made no sense. There were TONS of downloads for this model, and I'm not interested in downloading 30 different things, cluttering my laptop, and just hoping it works.

I tried Kevlar's link and everything seemed fine. But still same error message telling me to restart camera/computer.

sounds like you need to get on the jiggy wiggy and talk to Toshiba support
Might need to shutdown the computer and pop the battery out so no juice is running to the machine
