Strat Idea... Would It Work? (in General)

Marlfox [Cult of the Valaraukar] November 17 2008 6:38 AM EST

I just bought Warbringer's character, Possessed, and I was wondering about a strat I could do with it.
So, I'm asking for people to tell me if this strat might POSSIBLY be effective. ;)

Enchanter
DM
Corn, RoBF

Enchanter
AS
Corn, enchanter-ish gear

Mage
CoC, AP, Small HP
NSCs, HoC, AoAC, CMLs, SC, SBs

Enchanter
AS/AMF?

The exp isn't divided evenly, there are two minions who have 24m exp - 35m exp, and two others who have 10m exp - 15m exp.

So, would it work? Possibly?

Also, add a BoF and AoL on the first minion, MS on the mage.

AdminNemesia [Demonic Serenity] November 17 2008 7:09 AM EST

AoI would be much better than AoL would be on that front minion. You want to keep him alive to use the RoBF and get the bonus for BoF.

1)DM eats your own AMF
2)I was told that DM is best on a team that wants quick kills, you are better off improving your damage or help your team survive in a drawn out battle.

Mikel [Bring it] November 17 2008 7:35 AM EST

I would put your AS enchanter in front with the BoF and an AoI to protect your RoBF minion from one round of SF. You can also add DB's to the RoBF minion to pump up the Evasion even more and make him harder to hit with weapons.

Your own mage will need heaps of HP and AS is not a reliable source for it. If you want this build to survive the dreaded AMF/GA counter or DM/GA (also very popular) you dont want to depend much on the AS for HP.

Make sure your mage is the biggest minion and make sure it has enough 'natural' HP

So no AS in the build (unless your planning a ROS but your not so...)

Marlfox [Cult of the Valaraukar] November 17 2008 9:16 AM EST

Okay, so I'll need lots of HP on the CoC mage, I can do that.
I was considering the ROS, would it be wiser to do that instead of RBF?
And I'll swap out the AoL for an AoI.

Marlfox [Cult of the Valaraukar] November 17 2008 9:17 AM EST

Sorry for the double, but I'll also switch minion placements if I go with RBF.

You can't wear CML and Spellboosters..

I would keep the CML, and add an MS and an Adam considering you'll have Armor Proficiency anyway.

Marlfox [Cult of the Valaraukar] November 17 2008 11:58 AM EST

I meant CML or SB.

So I suppose the new strat I'm looking at is:

Enchanter
DM
Enchanter gear

Enchanter
AS
RoS, enchanter gear

Enchanter
GA/Small PL
Enchanter gear

Mage
CoC, AP
HoC, NSCs, CML, Adam (or MCM?), SC, AoAC

So, would that be effective?

DM is gonna eat your own AS and GA.. So I wouldn't go with DM ^^ You could have it as a wall or something to extend your survival and let the damage go on... RoBF and GA could kill em off if you survive enough hits ¬¬

Neo Japan November 17 2008 12:57 PM EST

your own DM doesn't hurt your own AS or GA, only nme AS and GA, and your own AMF and EC

Marlfox [Cult of the Valaraukar] November 17 2008 1:11 PM EST

Yes, but I think I need the RoS to survive that long.

AdminTitan [The Sky Forge] November 17 2008 9:56 PM EST

Yes RoS is a good idea

Cube November 18 2008 10:03 AM EST

Hmm I was rethinking that, it might be better to go for the low penalty armor then go with Steel Skin.

For 1 mil NW.

Adam will give you 90 AC/MCM will give you 70
70*1.2 = 84

Keep the rest the same, that way you still get the 1.2 from Steel Skin, and a smaller penalty.

Marlfox [Cult of the Valaraukar] November 18 2008 10:04 AM EST

Okay, then, so I'll go with Steel Skin. Ty!
