EH + SS? (in General)

Does Steel Skin boost the effectiveness of EH? or am I better off with Armor Proficiency? I've been told by two different experienced players that one is better than the other (one preferred AP one preferred SS).

Steel Skin would only boost the AC of the EH; however, AP would only reduce the very minor penalties of the EH.

If this is a 20 hp minion, I'd go with Steel Skin.

I look at it like this, GA teams don't need AC as this reduces the damage they take making the retributive damage also lower. Only when the GA is very small does AC help. The purpose of the EH is to ensure the fights don't end before SG has a chance to help clean up.

Any penalty is a bad penalty, no matter how small it is. Later on you'll be paying millions to make up for a 2% penalty, and it's often the breaking point between winning and losing.

Oh dang, I was planning on putting and MCM and a couple of Shadow Cloaks for AC against physical teams so that my GA won't be overpowered, is that a wrong idea?

It's a balancing act. You have to look at your fight list and figure out who it's going to help against. I eventually went with basic armor on my GA teams because of RoBF users.

The only downside I see to stacking some armor is buffing enemy SG. Otherwise less archer/melee damage means my GA will have an easier time retaliating, especially since people are complaining about GA's usefulness.

Directly from the wiki

With 0% penalty on skills, the point at which it is more cost-effective to train SS than HP is 181 AC; with 18% penalty on skills (full wall armor), the break-even point is 203 AC. The following assumptions apply:

Unless you have 181 AC SS is not worth to train before training HP.
AC is just an extension of HP in this case.

So AP would be the logic choice for any armor set below the 181 AC.

His minions have 20 hp; you only need a base SS Henk.

That assumes no PL or AS.

with PL, the maths is quite complicated, with AS, just get SS if you are not getting any skill. :P
