if i delete a minion what exactly happens does it just go away or do i get some thing like money or exp on it

It just disappears. You get no compensation for it.
but it is not a reason to not fire minion this early. it is ok to experiment a little for about 1 to 2 weeks, then you have to maximize your gains to ensure you have a good chance at the top. and use the "get more" BA links. new users get extra 360 BA for free daily.
