Do I have to pay the 40k for a new minion (that I wouldn't use) just to remove the blue screen on the top?

Sadly, yes. You can fire the minion afterward though.


The tutorial has a good bunch of problems. But I also believe that goes away in a few days (but if you want to chat now, you'll have to bite the bullet)


If you want though, I'll send you 40k to cover the cost. Now like I'm strapped for cash XD

Alternatively (and more cheaply), you could have used the 'Manage' link under your Active Character dropdown to create a new character, and hire a minion there for $12... To make things better, the new character would have $100 upon creation with which to hire the minion, so the end cost would be $0.

At least, I'm *pretty sure* this works... 50k isn't much, though had you waited a week or so before doing this, the above option would have definitely been something to look into.
