I dont ever see my minion that uses it ever hit with the unarmed skill. He's not holding any weapons or armor. Help would be appreciated.

If they have a damage spell trained, they'll do that instead of using unarmed combat.

The friend would appear to be darknitez5, in the same clan.
unarmed combat only hits in melee rounds.
