captcha (in General)

why dont they switch to captcha instead of whatever that other thing is because i cant read it and its not because its cursive its just hard to read i will get this ban every time

The botchecks are simple once you get used to them, they are extremely difficult for bots to solve and thus very effective.

botchecks are completely random they can happen every ba or not at all in one whole set of 160

I've heard it depends on how quickly you click. I get them like 1 every ten or so, but I click very quickly.

there is no set number on how often, usually once every 20-30 fights for myself

The bot checks we already have are captchas.

o well my bad i just can can't read them but as long as i dont get a permanent ban i guess its fine :)

You'll not get a perma ban, but you may get the odd timeout.

Don't worry about it though, you'll get better with practice, everyone does. You'll soon not even have to think about them...

just make sure its the top word only your trying :P if it dosnt make sense read teh bottom one to be sure your reading the letters in the correct order, it can be tricky on occasion, in which case just get it wrong and try your 2nd one

Wasn't there three guys who found a way to get approx. 2/3 of all botchecks right with a bot? They were all banned, I forgot their names. One did it all throughout the QB voting thing, and he was nominated.

No it was less than half. It was maybe 1/3? Jon applauded his effort of making a bot that wasn't failing every check. Yes he got banned though.
