idea for bug/suggestion forum (in General)

i have often thought we need a better way to communicate with the developers (is nightstrike still one?) in this game and verify that our bugs / suggestions are being acted on, in effect more bi-directional communication from the gods to the peons. in the past we post and rarely get a response and then wait for weeks to months to see if anything happens, often with more posts along the way.

what i would like to see is a bug/suggestions thread. we preface every post with the tag, bug or suggestions or choose this when creating the post and then describe our issue or hopes. if it is a bug, the developers would state it as such and say that is on the list to be fixed or added. it it is a feature it would also be stated as such, they would then close the thread.

suggestions would work in the same manner.

the list would actually be a thread maintained and stickied at the top. if we have what we think is a new bug, we could check the sticky and see if it is on the list. we would also be able to verify what direction things are going and have some hope (uc rework?).

i think this might help the community as well. many times we keep on rehashing the same old things due to the fact that no input has been given on what direction we are headed with that topic (evasion, robf). knowing that it is on the list would alleviate some of this tension i believe.

i guess the list could also be kept in the wiki and linked from the forum. examples of the list follow and i am sure there are more:

i am not asking for a detailed explanation of how things will be fixed or changed, more of just a nod that they will be looked at or if bugs fixed(removing protection from character attributes and adding steel skin).

it would also give the devs a clear direction to go when they have time to make changes or work on the game. this may exist in the real world already, but it would be nice if we were privy to the info within.

Q: Why not make a suggestions forum?

A: Because people are already liberal enough with half-baked ideas without one. Suggestions that you've actually thought through are welcome in the General forum.

just limit it to bugs then. ; )
