tat question (in General)

is a hal better then a SF if you dont have the gear to use junction with it or would it really matter either way my tat minion has dm and as and my other minion has decay at base and anti field and ga

In general, a steel familiar is great for nearly any strategy. Hals are more specialized for ranged characters, and if you don't have the equipment to junction on to them, they're kind of pointless. Steel familiars are also very useful in melee, while Hals are the exact opposite (so I hear).
