ToA Dex and 100% evasion effect. (in General)

Do you have to have trained dex, or does the Dex granted by a ToA allow you to achieve the full effect of evasion?

Brakke Bres [Ow man] February 5 2009 2:24 AM EST

dex is dex, evasion doesn't care where it comes from.

Awesome! Thanks Henk!

Lord Bob February 5 2009 4:46 PM EST

Henk is incorrect.

"Evasion greater than your DX is only 2/3 as effective."

It may have been modified further.

Lord Bob February 5 2009 4:50 PM EST

Yep, it changed.

"Evasion that isn't matched by DX is now 60% effective (was, briefly, 2/3)."

Sorry to bring this up again, but I just now saw Bob's replies. I did see Jon say that only trained Dex and not Haste would affect evasion, but I didn't see him directly reply to any of the questions about the ToA granted Dex.

Unlike Haste, TOA Dex is boosted by item gears so I'd be pretty sure that Bob is half incorrect and Henk is half right.

If you didn't quite get that, Bob's incorrect is the 'only trained' assumption but his correct is Haste doesn't count.
Henk's correct is that it's counted as natural Dex but his incorrect is that having Dex from any source counts.

Alright, I was hoping that was the case, thanks man!
