Chat (in Public Record)

Apparently I can't voice my opinion about being kicked from chat as a joke without getting killed by novice.

That was an absolute pathetic display of "moderation," if you can even call it that.

Soxjr February 9 2009 5:26 PM EST

I would love to find out how many threads you have started just like this one... only to blame chat-ops. I don't see others having this same issue so maybe a look inside yourself rather than pointing blame would be the best usage of your time?

Ariac February 9 2009 5:26 PM EST

What do you think this will accomplish?

iBananco [Blue Army] February 9 2009 5:28 PM EST

<{CB1}Slayer666> Someone feed me or I shall throw a tantrum.
<Ariac> Also, is it unhealthy to just let my eyes go out of focus when I'm not doing anything I have to look at?
<Ariac> lol
<JS> someone needs to get trained
<{CB1}Slayer666> What? OB1 didn't use his litterbox again?
- urp has kicked {CB1}Slayer666 out of the room
<urp> he doesn't realize that I don't have him /ignore'd anymore.
<Ariac> lol
<Hakai> he's going to be pissed off
<Hakai> expect a thread
<Ariac> I <3 OB.
<{CB1}Slayer666> Dude, that really isn't cool.
<Ariac> Neither is insulting a mod. =P
<Ariac> Or anyone.
<{CB1}Slayer666> Well, a sense of humor works, becaus all it was was a joke.
<{CB1}Slayer666> And i'm sure he knows that.
<{CB1}Slayer666> Also, they're called OPs
<urp> if you had more of a sense of humor about being kicked, you might recognize my sense of humor in kicking you. :)
<JS> oh no you di'nt!
<{CB1}Slayer666> You know I don't like being kicked. I never view it as a joke.
<urp> You know I don't like it when people mention my litterbox. I never take that as a joke either.
<{CB1}Slayer666> No I didn't.
<Hakai> yes, beacuse a 30 second wait before you can /join again is just the end of the world
<Hakai> that attutude about kicks is beyond ridiculous
<{CB1}Slayer666> So is the attitude that everybody must share your viewpont about kicks.
<{CB1}Slayer666> or else it's "beyond ridiculous"
<novice> You want a break?
<JS> where the devil did you get a kit kat bar?
* {CB1}djschlotte misses Mushu
<urp> LOL JS
<Flamey> Stop trolling, stranger.
<Hakai> Hey, Flamey
<urp> whoa Flamey is lurking
<Flamey> Hoi.
<urp> anywho, the easy solution for this is to go back to /ignoring you for having that blasted confusing name!
<Flamey> Admittedly if you do chat on CB 24/7 then it might detrimental to your health, but you don't. You can actually PLAY the game for 30 seconds,
<{CB1}Slayer666> not when you have 0 BA.
<Flamey> forums? Wiki? Your actual life?
<Hakai> Rave, it's very simple. Do not poke fun at someone that does not share the same humor about things that you do. Problem solved.
<{CB1}Slayer666> Unless I /kick people as a joke, I do not expect to get /kick ed as a joke.
<novice> Solved
<Hakai> Did you kill him?
<novice> your damn right

Ariac February 9 2009 5:56 PM EST

But that has my weird question at the beginning of it. T.T

blackshadowshade February 9 2009 6:07 PM EST

Ariac, in response to your chat question, the answer would be no. However, the fact that you're doing so may be a sign that your visual system is under more stress than perhaps it needs to be.

If the question was actually meant seriously, I'm most happy to put on my optometry hat via chat mail.

:) (Yay for thread highjacking!)

Ariac February 9 2009 6:10 PM EST

I mean, I'm doing it intentionally, but it does feel better. : D

Lochnivar February 9 2009 6:16 PM EST

I think I might have a scratch on my left eye....
I keep seeing a 'little squiggle' in the same part of my field of vision (for weeks now). Should I go get it checked?

Admin{CB1}Slayer333 [SHIELD] February 9 2009 6:17 PM EST

No, it's probably an alien probe.

QBJohnnywas February 9 2009 6:19 PM EST

I keep seeing posts like this. Either something is wrong with my eyes or I'm stuck in a time loop.

Ariac February 9 2009 6:21 PM EST

Let's do the time warp agaaaiin!

blackshadowshade February 9 2009 6:25 PM EST

Lochnivar,

Try searching Google for "muscae volitantes" or "floater".

Of course, you can find almost anything in Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Floater/

blackshadowshade February 9 2009 6:29 PM EST

I just realised that I didn't answer your question, Loch. If you're worried about it, or if the floater suddenly appeared, especially after eye or head trauma, then definitely get your eyes checked by an optometrist/ophthalmologist. They will (or maybe "should") then take a look inside your eye and see if they can spot anything.

PearsonTritonRaveshaw February 9 2009 6:36 PM EST

I think it simply sucks how I'm kicked time and time again for ludicrous reasons and nobody seems to care. In fact, judging by the responses in this thread, I doubt I'll be back in chat for quite a while.

Lochnivar February 9 2009 6:36 PM EST

thanks blackshadow,

reading the description that sounds exactly like what I have going on...

Since I don't recall any head or eye trauma I probably won't rush off to get it checked... if things get worse however, I think I would.

Cool, the things you can learn from fellow CBers eh?

Ariac February 9 2009 6:38 PM EST

Change your name so I can tell the difference easier please?

AdminJonathan February 10 2009 8:14 AM EST

Read some chat logs. Banned raveshaw666 from chat and forums for trolling.
