What purpose does it really serve? How often is it used?? Honestly wouldn't it be easier to do away with it, or revamp the way it works and just start new players off with base leathers // whip or whatever?

That's just the past 24h... I'd say it gets used plenty ^_^ As it stands, the store is the only way to get money back from upgraded non-rares...

It's used for low level items. The REAL problem is that low-level items are never used, even at lower levels. Rares are far too common, and N*B growth is too fast to make working through the ranks of items worthwhile. Also, the current linear weapon damage upgrade cost makes spending any cash to improve anything less than the top five a brainless business decision, making store bought weapons useless.

..Leathers still rule though...
