Ok, I have the link to get the stuff for the OS I want I just don't know how to copy it onto a flash drive. Any help would be great. ftp://ftp.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/dist...s/vectorlinux/ .

What do you mean with "copy it onto a flash drive"?

Newlin [SeeD] February 25 2009 4:01 PM EST

I want to put it onto a flash drive and then eventually onto a disk so I can use it on an old laptop.

If you look further, you can find the images here:
ftp://ftp.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/vectorlinux/veclinux-6.0/iso-release/

But wouldn't it have been easier to get the image from their website directly? Looks like most of them are free anyway. http://vectorlinux.com/downloads

I guess I have the wrong link. I will have to find it. I am trying to get Vector linux 2.5 SOHO.

I still don't know what you want.

Do you want to copy the download to flash, do you want to install from flash or do you want to run Vector Linux from flash?

Version 2.5 is antique. I would not recommend using such an old version of any OS...

Newlin [SeeD] February 25 2009 11:37 PM EST

Well, I guess I basically want it burned onto a CD so I can boot from it. And the only reason I am using an old version like that is because I need some sort of OS that will run really efficiently and fast with only 128mb of RAM.

Then try Damn Small Linux or Puppy Linux...
