does DM have any effect on GA until you start bringing it below the 2.5 required for max effect..
For example if I have a DM of 1M vs a GA of 4M against a minion doing say 300k damage would it have any effect in reducing the effect of GA?

Yes it would. What makes you bring up the 2.5 for max effect?
GA max effect is trained up to the damage you receive, not?
So if your opponent's DM lowers your GA, you will certainly see effect in a lowered GA backlash.
If you are wondering about this, fight someone of the same damage output with and without DM and check your GA damage in play by play.

Shade: the wiki says that for max effect GA should be trained to approx 2.5 times the dmg done...and It is actually against GA that I am curious about.
reworded the question is if my DM doesn't bring an opponents GA below the 2.5xdmg will it have any effect at all?
I believe the answer is still no
