special items store discount code for existing... (in General)

there seems to be a question brought up with each new supporter items especially since the establishment of the special items store. can i get one for six bucks if am already a supporter?

i have always just paid the 11 bucks and considered the overage a donation. however, that is probably not the best solution.

since paypal allows discount codes, could we have the special items store text give a discount code that you basically enter when you get to the paypal site and it would discount the purchase price appropriately?

a free item naming would also be an alternative, just not sure how easy that would be to automate.

Can you even buy those items if you aren't a supporter? I presume so, but don't know for sure...

i think if you go through the special items store the only option now is being charged for supportership as well as the item. therefore buying that way would make you a supporter if you weren't.

my idea is for those that are already a supporter to get a way to just get the item for the discounted price but still have it automated through the special items store. i think now we are supposed to just send jon the six bucks and it is not automated and requires him sending the item manually.
i am not real sure about that though as i usually just go through the special items store.

Although it seems silly to be willing to buy items form the special store, and not a supportership. :)

i am not asking for that at all. i am asking for an automated special store items purchase for existing supporters. we can now use the special items store but only by paying the full price. if we want the discounted price we have to do it by the old method, if that even still works.
