score and dead zone issue, another option (in General)

if we cannot find a non exploitable solution and just adding more score is not an option, here is another idea.

right now challenge bonus is based on opponents score in relation to our pr. what if we keep that mechanic, but as we move into different ba refresh zones add a multiplier to help combat dead zones. in effect for the 10/20 zone keep it as is. for 9/20 take opponents score in relation to our pr * .9. for 8/20 multiply our pr by .8 and so on.

in the 6/20 zone we would go back to having no modifier multiplied times our pr since we have no negative bonus or we could drop the no negative clause and use the .6 multiplier for that zone as well.

for my current ncb who is around 4m pr. this would mean that he would have a modified pr of 2.8m for challeng bonus purposes.

Not to familiar with all of the mechanics of this game yet but.
How about a complete prac/exp reset at those points. In turn it acts as a sorta reset button to bonuses. Then you just continue up the scale.

1 step back 2 steps forward?

this would be in addition to what is already in effect, not a change to it. it would make dead zones less of an issue and normalize growth.

to be more clear, what is in place now if i understand correctly is a reduction in penalties for fighting down. which means when you go negative it is less negative.

what i am proposing would help there be a larger range of positive bonuses.

one problem with that. I think the teams at the top is having excessively high score, so that wouldn't help much. They would gain the extra 40% bonus from pr * .6, and still have a good score => 100% CB at the top much?

i gave two options for that, one was to have the 6/20 range treated just as the 10/20 is and as it is now so that option wouldn't change anything.

even if the bonus was applied to the 6/20 though and the negative challenge bonus reapplied for them, i see no way of it giving the 100 percent challenge bonus. it is quite rare, from my experience, to get a challenge bonus at the top at all now. if this were added i think you might see some 20 to 30 percent challenge bonuses at the top and that would be max.
