US//Canada;; Iceland questions? (in Off-topic)

Cube March 27 2009 10:07 PM EDT

1. What does it take to cross the US//Canadian border? Do Americans still not need a passport? If so how do you prove you are American? Drivers Licenses? Also, what about permanent residents of the US/ people on student visas?

2. I'm in a group in a class doing a presentation on Iceland, so I need to find someone to interview about Iceland, if no one minds taking the time. CM me. We can set up a time to chat, or I can CM some questions over, which ever you prefer.

Thanks for part 1, got what I needed.

For part 2, also possible, any one know someone from Iceland who wouldn't mind a few quick questions? If it helps, I can post them.

if not, I'm sure there'd be volunteers to answer questions as if they were someone from Iceland (psst! Iceland is like... Green... But don't tell Greenland that!) This way you could use the most interesting responses :P

You can interview me, and we'll pretend I'm from Iceland.

Well, for the record they let us in Canada without any ID, and back to the US with just Driver's licenses. I was expecting a bit more. Fun trip.

And well if I could interview someone pretending to be from Iceland I'd interview myself, but I have to get specific experiences so oh well. Thanks for the offers.
