How does work the tattoo artist (in General)

I'm wondering how I can ask him to transform a tattoo in another one

I tried with 2 different tattoos and when I'm selecting one in the top box of the screen, the second box remain empty

I glad turn one of my tattoo into a rune of solitude (if possible because I didn't found any list of the available transformations)

thanking you in advance for helping an old player coming back and confused by this tattoo artist

put your larger (the one you want to change) tattoo in the top box, then put your smaller (hopefully near base) tattoo of the type that you wish to convert the larger tat to in the bottom box, then click 'Ink me' or whatever NS changed the text to :P

NOTE: The smaller tattoo will be consumed, and you will not get it back, even if you undo the changes made to your original tat ^_^

I misunderstood the function of the tattoo artist

I got it was to turn a tattoo into another one (without having one of the target type - it had be so cool ^^ )
