You can talk to them. But most people in New Players don't speak.

Try typing /join carnage

You'll have better luck in that room, as it is the main chat room.
But keep in mind, that it is 4/5/6 am for most of us, so the room may be quiet around this time.

There are some others that aren't in the US though, and they might feel talkative tonight ^_^

No i mean i cant even see the chat window. I know one can be loaded but i dont know why it isnt there. In my settings it is ticked on. Even the FAQ don't have this problem. Is it cause i am new?

No, being new has nothing to do with it.

I am using the latest version of Firefox, and I am able to load the chat client. :)

Aside from having firefox installed you'll need java installed to see chat.

i just had to finish the tutorial and it was gone. Although i had to create another character and waste some ba its gone yay

Finishing the tutorial is the CB equivalent of taking the red pill. There is no turning back now.
