can we still set one and if so where do we do this?

Settings -> Update Basic Information

hmm, all i have is the change name option by following that path:

Update your profile
Name:
(After the first change, you may only change your name once every 30 days.)
followed by the update button and that is it!

That's weird. I've got the option for adding a personal url.

Did you have one before at any point?

i am not sure that i have tried since cb1...sucks to get old!

i have had clan issues in the past and am wondering if other clan owners who have lost some of their clan option buttons may have the same issue with this one as well.

You don't even have a Log out option. I guess CB doesn't want you to have a homepage so you can't leave or log out.

you are right about the log out...perhaps that is why i am always here. it has been missing since the redesign!

logout vanishes after linking to facebook

i think i created a test account on facebook, but am unsure if i ever linked this account. beer makes dude forgetful!

So I looked at the code, and facebook users aren't allowed to change either the email address, the display of the email, or the personal URL.

Is it going to remain this way?

I don't know why facebook users are specifically disallowed from changing these things. I understand the email address, but not the personal URL. I'll have to ask Jon about it.

I believe I remember Jon saying there wasn't currently a way to unlink... but maybe that can change.

Correct, there is currently no way to unlink.

I asked about this a few times. I want to change my email to the address my facebook account uses, which makes the disallowance a little bit funnier.

i looked through all of the old facebook threads i could find and never saw any warnings of limited features due to account linking. hopefully it is just a case of unfinished business.

i had wanted to link facebook to hopefully promote cb, if it turns out to have limited me that would be frustrating!

Unfortunately, after creating the facebook interfaces, facebook decided to redo everything on their end. It broke much of the CB side of things, and now we're kind of stuck in limbo.

ah that explains much then. i am sure it will work out and for me personally i would rather have the item bugs as a priority for fixes over facebook issues!

is there any way that the accounts linked to facebook could be reverted?

after reading the thread again, i guess that question has been answered. perhaps all who are affected can just make legal nub accounts? ; )
