Ogre Battle (in Off-topic)

{Wookie}-Jir.Vr- April 27 2009 8:33 PM EDT

Anyone remember this series? I remember hours and hours of entertainment from Ogre Battle 64. That being said, I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to play Ogre Battle 64 (Or any other ogre battles) on my computer via emulator, or something to that effect.

I've never messed around with emulators, so I'm a little bit in over my head.

Reward to the person that finds me a way to play Ogre Battle 64 on my computer. I would look myself, but I'm on dial-up at home, and finding let alone downloading is not really a possibility.

Or if someone can find it on Ebay, or for sale online, I would gladly pay for it's purchase in CBD. I can't even look at ebay from home =(.

Alas, I loved that game dearly. But the last time I managed to find it online it was for over 100 dollars on ebay.

Couldn't find an emulator or anything. But that was awhile ago.

.... It was such a fantastic game...

Yeah, I recently pulled some stuff out of storage and found a box with my old 64 and a bunch of random games, only after bring it home and dusting everything off did I notice that I was missing a few games. Ogre Battle, Starcraft, and a few other random ones. Starcraft wasn't nearly as good as it's computer counterpart for varies reasons, but man OB was indeed such a fantastic game.

I really hope someone can hook it up, otherwise I guess I'll start calling around game stores in the area, but I don't even know if these places still carry 64 games :|

{Wookie}-Jir.Vr- April 27 2009 8:49 PM EDT

I googled it:

Shopping results for Ogre Battle 64
Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber ... from $23 - 4 stores
Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber ... $279.95 - 1 store

I'm waiting for the first link to load :P could be awhile.

I also discovered that I'm missing my entire collection of Populous including my entire snes system along with it. (left all my other snes games haha :S)

I'm trying the out now, but the Nintendo 64 emulator is here: http://www.emulator-zone.com/download.php/emulators/n64/project64/project64_1.6.exe and Ogre Battle 64 here: http://www.coolrom.com/roms/n64/1557/Ogre_Battle_64_-_Person_of_Lordly_Caliber.php

Should have updated.

If it works *unconfirmed* I will drive into town and download it. (I live around 40 miles from the city aka dialup).

Can you get it to work? I think candy went offline lol

http://www.coolrom.com/emulators/n64/ <<emulator then choose an emulator to play it on

Also, I'm a novice when it comes to emulators, I've never in my life messed with a single one because I've always had the resources to just purchase any game I wanted to play. That being said, will the n64 emulator work on vista?

I'm only asking because vista is garbage and nothing works correctly on it >_< =(

Emulators = Legal
Roms = Illegal unless you own the hard copy of the game.

Meant to add:

... That being said, I used to use Project64 Emulator.

Yeah that's what I just installed. Considering I paid 50 U.S. for Ogre Battle when it first came out, I have no moral qualms about downloading it.

Candy was looking for an RoBF, originally was going to send 500k, but thought he/she would appreciate that as it kills two birds with one stone.

So the next step would be for someone to get me a working PS1 Emulator...

I downloaded ePSXe or whatever, and couldn't get it to work... I don't know how to make it work :|

I've got on my system right now two ps1 emulators and I dunno what to do.

Project 64 worked like a charm out of the gate...

So if anyone with some PS1 emulator experience could get a hold of me, I'm really bummed out because I've got FF Tactics and can't play it because my playstation is at my friend's house, and now I can't even get the emulator to work haha :P

Well you have to make sure you load the bios the sound and video plugins for ePSXe or otherwise it won't run... look Here for a nice tutorial on what you need to do to get it to work for you...I also have more links to some of the plugins if you need more than that.
