can we have a Largest DD Blow? (in General)

please?
its not fair that only tanks know their strongest hit ):

Lochnivar April 27 2009 11:40 PM EDT

this has been asked many a time, but as DD max is so easily calculated Jon does not see value in adding it

Tyriel [123456789] April 27 2009 11:41 PM EDT

I think the reply Jon gave to this suggestion previously was just to look at whoever has the highest trained DD spell, likely CoC, that will do the most damage.

Tank damage is dependent on many other things, many of which can't just simply be measured by looking at a single stat.

"Tank damage is dependent on many other things"

Yeah, on two more things.
It's not just DD level, it's ST level, weapon x and weapon type.

And only lately, with the introduction of the SoC and MoD, a couple more things. But that's not really a "proper" blow from a SoC, and the MoD gets just double damage against AS HP, so it's no big deal either.

You might as well remove the MPB altogether if you use Jon's logic, since, hey, easily groked by just looking at some other available stats.

Sickone April 28 2009 6:56 AM EDT

However, a special case could be made for decay, if that gets into the MPB-from-magic, that can lead to some pretty... weird results.
But the rest of the DDs, I see no good reason why magic damage can't be included in the MPB calculation.

Colonel Custard [The Knighthood] April 28 2009 9:00 AM EDT

Does RBF damage register as MPB? I had thought it did, since my character's MPB is much larger than what my UC minion usually puts out, but then I realized that my RBF is nowhere near large enough to do 800k damage. I guess I must be absorbing a LOT of damage on my SoC, or something...

But, anyway, does RBF damage register? Anyone know?

QBJohnnywas April 28 2009 9:03 AM EDT

Wouldn't need to register RBF damage, just look for the biggest RBF and divide it's level by 5. Bingo: RBF's MPB.

QBJohnnywas April 28 2009 9:04 AM EDT

We should probably add some more for the completists: GA and AMF. Biggest damage caused by those two would be a good addition.

Cube April 28 2009 9:24 AM EDT

Because it's too much work for something without much value - quite easy to look up. Not that the programming is hard but making new layouts for the pages etc.

I know tank damage is easy to look up too, but it's also already implemented.

AdminNemesia [Demonic Serenity] April 28 2009 9:24 AM EDT

I think that 800k damage from the SoC was against me. I also believe that only physical damage is included for the largest hit. SoC damage just gets added onto the actual hit so it is included.

Flamey April 28 2009 10:18 AM EDT

Q: Why does the "Most Powerful Blow" stats not include magic "blows"?

A: This does not make sense, for several reasons.
First of all, the effect of the spell Decay mainly depends on the HP of your opponent, not on your own character.
Even when discounting Decay, DD spells are directly proportional to the level they're trained in so it would be a pretty boring stat. Just go look at whoever has the highest CoC and award him the prize. Or anyone with Decay, if you want to include that.

no?

Rawr April 28 2009 10:20 AM EDT

Whoever has the biggest MoD and highest STR/BL wins? O.o

Rawr April 28 2009 10:21 AM EDT

(ie flatcap, but with the bugs a few has passed him...)
