Know a good game? (in Off-topic)

From time to time I get this feeling all the games I play are boring. Well not boring, I just played them too much and they've become 'known'. I need a new one. My body craves for it. I want to play!
But, I can't find anything that suits my tastes. I should be working on my thesis, but it's Sunday, and well... I want to play! Do you know a good game? Tell me about it!
Specs aren't important, I have yet to find a game that my pc can't handle. I like all kinds of games, from RTS to RPG to FPS. One thing though, the shops are closed so I can't go and buy it... I'd like it to be downloadable so I can start playing it today. Do you guys have any games in mind I should know about?

http://store.steampowered.com/
is a popular buy/download site. Lot of variety and sometimes amazing deals.
http://direct2drive.com
is another popular site for games.

I have never played warhammer and am interested in trying it. Braid is a game that is getting great reviews, but I don't know anyone who has played it yet. I still love natural selection that is a free third party mod (if you buy 1/2 life for 10 bucks.... or the orange box for really cheap)

I really got hooked on that gemcraft game

Steam is a good suggestion i use it all the time, it offers tons of cheap games and sometimes they go on sale as well for very good prices.
also if you're talking about warhammer online, i wouldn't try it; it is fun but only for the first 20 levels and then its endless grinding and silly stuff
if you have HL2, you should all the HL2 mods out there, most of them are very good and very fun. and best thing is they are completely free. I'd suggest Dystopia, it's one of my favourite mods for HL2
Darkfall, if you can ever manage to buy a copy.

i disagree, i have been playing since beta and it is a very nice fantasy mmorpg. i have tried many of these in the last 12 years and this is one of my favorites so far! ; )

Here's one of my favorite video games available from Steam. I've played it a couple of times, and I'll probably play it again some day.
Jagged Alliance 2
It's like Fallout 2, but better.
Perfect World Need I say more?
Slayer, he wanted something that isn't boring.
Oh, and please skip Direct2Drive. It's awful.

Left 4 Dead and Team Fortress 2 are great game you can get on steam, depends if you already got them.
Draco, are you able to build your own "Territory" ? And build your own house and stuff?
Supposedly, you are able to in the
Malaysian version, but it's English, so I wonder if this might be cool.

I ended up playing my copy of Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 and the 2 expansions... yes, I also like sandbox games from time to time. But thanks for the replies! I think Perfect World looks interesting, I'm going to try it.
I didn't think of Steam or any other online game download site either, lol, silly me, "shops are closed", ha I should've known: The innernets never close! That Natural Selection game looks fun as well, but I hear there's a part 2 coming out soon? As for Jagged Alliance, I might give that a try too. The screenshots with shop inventories kinda scare me, with lots of information in one screen, but we'll see.
I've been playing this a little, it's an RTS with 3 different races all fighting. It has some cool new concepts for the RTS genre. Might be fun to play multiplayer too.

I just watched War of the Worlds (remake with Tom Cruise) again, and Verifex that game of yours has mighty similar screenshots :P
Smalls: Not in the english version... but it is still very fun, and if anyone is willing to play, we have a vent, irc, and forum all set up for it ^_^
I wonder if North Americans are allowed to play on the Malaysian (English) client, lol.

DrAcO, I just spent a couple hours playing it and it seems fun. Started out as a female winged elf named Ximenez :D Totally noob to the game but ah well.
Just to let you know... I play on the Lost City server with my buddies, we have our own faction and Vent set up with a forum and all ^_^
Universe at War, sucks, I bought it in the bargain basket. No wonder it was in there.
No get some nice games, like Empire; Total War or anno 1404 or X3 terran conflict or CoD 5, or overlord 2 (not out yet keep an eye on that one) or Fear 2 or fall out 3 or GTA4 or World in Conflict (including the expansion) or Demigod.
I'd like to get Demigod and X3. But I have hardly any idea how X3 plays.

I started out on that PvE server called Dreamweaver or something. My character's at level 10 now. I love the genie and flying systems. So far I think the game's pretty nice. Bit high on the grinding, but still fun.
Shaiya looks okay too, I might try it as well if I get bored with Perfect World. As for the new games, I love titles like Overlord, but they cost like 60 euros to buy/download, so I'd rather play free games for a while.
