Why does the ELB (out of all the items, the only one that doesn't actually have a PR weight) add 118,784 PR to my character... In the wiki it says small characters suffer from "large PR penalties"
At over the 1 million MPR mark, I do not consider my character as "small". It also goes on to say that:

"Characters who are old enough to be grown out of their bonuses usually don't suffer an increase in PR from their weapon's Net Worth unless the weapon in question is grossly out of proportion to the size of their character."

I'm not sure how to interpret that to be honest, is that to say only players in the 6/10 BA regeneration do not suffer these bonuses? Surely it isn't to say that my weapon is grossly out of proportion...

To put it into perspective I rented two other ELBS.

To show the effect on my fightlist which is 7 characters at 100% Challenge bonus.

With Bow A: I maintain a 100% winrate against the 7 characters. With Bows B and C:
A: Win/Win/Win/Win/Win/Win/Win
B: Win/Lose/Win/Win/Win/Lose/Win
C: Lose/Draw/Lose/Win/Win/Win/Lose

I'm Just not understanding why a 27m NW bow is adding 118k, a 16m NW bow is adding 103,166, and a 7.3m NW bow is adding only 7.8k.

The damage difference between bows B and C is only a few thousand, yet the PR difference is almost 100k PR! (and 110K when talking about A/C)

The only thing I can think of is that the 27m NW bow is considered a,
"Characters who are old enough to be grown out of their bonuses usually don't suffer an increase in PR from their weapon's Net Worth unless the weapon in question is grossly out of proportion to the size of their character."

Which doesn't make sense to me because 27m NW is NOT EVEN NEARLY CLOSE to grossly out of propotion to my 1.1m MPR character.

My ENC limit is well over 100 million...

I just don't think the 118k PR added by the bow is "fair" for lack of a better word. Things to keep in mind, is that I have over 15 million experience between STR/Archery just to use the bow. I thought ENC was meant to keep people's character's networth in check. So why should a bow that really isn't very big... (27m nw is small with an ENC of over 100million on the character.)

Think of it like this... My HAL adds 377,000 PR to my character... Inside that 377k is 35 million XP and an ELB with over 23 million on the BTH alone... No clue how much X it would be using but the minion consistently out damages Dave, who has almost 600k more STR (after junctioned Items effects are added (I took off my AoJ for the below stats) So that would mean even if my Hal's ELB matched Dave's (though we know it must be larger due to the lack of strength and the equal damage) 15 million or so networth in the PTH alone, or 38millionish networth total.

688k HP -8.2m XP
1,116,816 STR/DEX - 13.4m xp*2
Ranged BaseTH: 100
Ranged BonusTH:120
Total XP: 35 million
120 BTH on an ELB costs 23 million CBD ALONE!!!!

So considering the size of the bow my HAL wields is many millions over my own ELB, why does my own ELB add so much PR...
MPR= (xp/1.4307)^(1/1.2501) - or MPR = (xp/1.4307)^(1/1.2501)
Or
24,463,549 ^ .7999360051 = 813,472.249

So the XP of my familiar is the equivalent of over 800k MPR with about a 38million nw bow... and it only adds 377k PR, so why does my 28m bow add 118k PR... That is very far from being "fair".

Thoughts?

It is only the PTH that adds to PR. Put a ToA on and disenchant the PTH and see no PR increase, and as a bonus all that cash can be put into the X on the bow...

{Wookie}-Jir.Vr- May 27 2009 5:06 AM EDT

It would actually be more than 35m networth as I forgot to calc in archery. Also

I'm not sure how to interpret that to be honest, is that to say only players in the 6/10 BA regeneration do not suffer these bonuses?

Should read:

{Wookie}-Jir.Vr- May 27 2009 5:19 AM EDT

Ahh JW I didn't know that, but that even further perpetuates my thoughts on how the bow needs to be rescaled.

+90 | $11,688,847

So 11million nw is adding 118k PR?? That seems like WAAAAAAY too much, considering that my TSA:
A Trollskin Armor [22] (+40)
# Primary effect; plus 1% to base ST for each Enchantment bonus.
# Secondary effect; each round, it regenerates up to 3% of the wearer minion's trained HP, capped at the original HP before things like Ablative Shield.

So my TSA is adding ~35k HP a round to my character (assuming Dave takes damage) and is adding 40% strength and is only adding 43k PR...

With: Strength: 1,930,502 / 1,026,863
Without: Strength: 1,519,757 / 1,026,863

410,745 bonus strength which would be 4,928,940 XP or
3,445,124^.7999 = 169,476 added MPR

169,376 added MPR = 40k PR

Just makes things seem even more out of proportion...

So 11 million networth on a tank adds 118k PR where 170k MPR worth of str adds only 40k PR? :S

QBJohnnywas May 27 2009 5:23 AM EDT

Well, arguably the PTH on the ELB is one of the most powerful things in the game, considering the higher the PTH the more damage you can do, and with the most powerful damage in the game.

iBananco [Blue Army] May 27 2009 5:30 AM EDT

That wiki entry dates back to the days of weapon allowance. As it no longer exists, it no longer applies. Weapons add as much PR as DBs with the same +.
