So I guess I have missed something. Before if you equipped a melee weapon, it would change the position of the familiar. Has that beed disabled? I tried recently to try something out but the familiar remained in front of the character equipped on.
A familiar spawns in front of the minion if you have any sort of offense. That includes DD, UC, or weapons. Otherwise it spawns Behind the minion.

ahhh thanks, I equipped decay to try it out, and that is why. *phew* thought I was losing brain cells
