So what do you guys think so far? It's just been Microsoft so far, but...
Rock Band: Beatles
Halo: ODSM
Halo: Reach
and wth? Xbox Live is combining with Facebook and Twitter. x_x
I'm not sure how much of this is "ooh, cool!" and how much is "aw man, wrryyyyyy"

Hm. Facial recognition software, when you walk up it logs you in...the guy's showing it off now. Really clever!

Are you following it online or did you make the trip to go in person? I actually scored a ticket and passed on the opportunity.
I've been following it on RPS... Crysis 2 announced (...), Mafia II footage, Mass Effect 2 trailer, and another Borderlands one. Something about L4D2.
And a little game called "Monkey Island".

I'm following it on TV atm, Demigod.
You scored tickets, but passed? If you don't mind me asking, why?

MW2
MGS on 360
Halo: Reach
L4D2 (Meh, wasnt a big fan of #1)
Splinter Cell
Alan Wake
OMG!

OB,
My brother lives in LA and won tickets through Microsoft (some 360 raffle). I just bought a house and can't validate flying to LA just for E3, especially as my brother is making the trip to visit here in three weeks. Another person was gladly willing to go, though.
Let me know if Bethesda or Rockstar make any announcements. While I love most everything Valve makes, I'm not so sure I'm cool with them just shelving L4D and moving onto L4D2, call me spoiled, sure.
The new MW2 footage is drool-inducing.
it is marlfox, it is. And finally you can drive snowmobiles in the game :)
It looks rather linear, but who cares? I like the "Lost Planet" feel, too. ;)
And mountain climbing will rock.
A new Monkey Island game? I'm intrigued :)
OB was telling me about a couple games that I thought sounded really fun.
I also think the Project Natal thing looks incredible. I just want to go on the record officially to say that Project Natal will be the beginning of killer robots!! ;p
Also, I can't wait for the new Final Fantasy or the new God of War!!!! *swoons*

that's...the ONLY thing that looks cool from Nintendo so far.
I am _really_ unimpressed thus far.
May "Metroid: Other M", change your mind? lol.

Ugh.
If you have stock in Sony, get out.
Now.
If MAG goes and works as it says it does, it will keep it alive. I might buy a PS3 for that and because my family needs a Blu-Ray player, =P
FF XIV
PS3 only
Online only
Early 2010, I believe
Oh, and the new TOR footage. Sweet.
Sony's PS3 isn't that bad, but Sony does seem to be riding it's current line of products pretty hard without taking a second to look at itself in the mirror.
The PSP Go, really? What kind of stupid name is that? Besides that, the design for it looks retarded as well, they should have just released a slimmer less expensive PSP, that would compete DIRECTLY with the NDS, but it appears as though they are not trying to compete with it on any front, which is dumb as far as I'm concerned.
"While I love most everything Valve makes, I'm not so sure I'm cool with them just shelving L4D and moving onto L4D2, call me spoiled, sure."
I 100% agree. I'm pretty ticked off that they are simply out to make more money instead of improving the game. I lost a lot of respect for valve because of this.

They added a survival mode, fixed TONS of hacks and glitches, and completed the other two multiplayer stages. It's not like they just ignored it. The game just wasn't made to be such the hit that it became, and a sequel could do wonders. I'm definitely looking forward to a bigger, badder follow up.
Project Natal scares me, in more ways than just the obvious. I've been (somewhat) following on G4, and earlier, when they showed the pseudo-AI thing in Natal, that reacted to human emotions, showed empathy, creativity, etc., it got me thinking (I know, I know: "Marlfox? THINK?!?") on how in a few years something like this would be commonplace.
My little (8 y.o.) brother made a very acute observation; 'It looks like a game for lonely people.'
So, here's my prediction on the future of robotics/AI:
They will at first be used to _not_ have to interact socially. Why go into the real world, or even a modern game world (MMO, FPS, etc.) when I can have a custom-crafted world that will never hurt me emotionally or physically?
Even now, robots are beginning to be used in combat situations. When will we reach the point were all of our wars are fought with machines?
Comfort will eventually make AI/robots irreplaceable. Why even go outside your home when you can have a robot deliver your food? Maintenance work would be done by machines (far more accurate and precise), driving (no car accidents!), and heck, why not the government too?
Wouldn't it make sense, when robots are indistinguishable from humanity, that they would explore, and in turn rule? What good would the human race (one fraught with genocides, sickness, rape, and murder) do, when perfection personified comes calling?
*cough*
Now, about my degree in robotics...
;)
Eh, a Terminator-esque situation isn't very likely.
But, who knows, we might strike it lucky and get Asimovian robots.
