Help... Me... (in Off-topic)

I've recently (pass two days or so) been getting a rather weird bug in Windows XP. Whenever I go to right-click on a document in My Computer (all of My Computer, not just C:), everything freezes and I have to manually restart the computer.
A quick Google search found this, but after trying one of the instructions (inserting the Home Edition CD and doing some command line magic), all I succeeded in doing was messing up my graphics drivers.
So, can anyone help? Or will I be forced to re-install Windows? Help!

i thought it was going to read "i've fallen and i cant get up".

Happened to my friend's computer, reinstall is your best bet.
