50 proof is 25% alcohol. Most table wines are 8-13%.

And I've seen quite a few people get hammered at wine tastings. After paying $30 to get in the events, a surprising number of people try to get their money's worth.

I like my Jack and Cokes. But I often do shots of straight whiskey, if it's Jack or a top shelf product.

You just proved anyone could get drunk pretty easily off of wine. 'Most' wine is under 50 proof. Doesn't mean all does it? A buddy of mine brews his own wine and beer, he can make the ABV whatever he so chooses, you don't think others do this as well? Get real. Just depends on what you add/don't add. I've seen wines range from 2% - 25% ABV, I'm sure there's some that are even higher.

Average ABV for wine:
Wine: 9%ﾖ18% (most often 12.5%ﾖ14.5%

this means drinking a whole bottle.

I think its funny that you say wine ABV ranges from 2% to 25% yet make fun of my cause i said most wine is under 50 proof.

And you still say I'm a lightweight for getting drunk off of 50 proof/25% ABV. You don't know what I had, rofl. Still doesn't change the fact the brewer can create whatever he wants.

Or the fact that he doesn't know how "much" you drank. What if he drank 2 liters of wine? That's a lot more alcohol than the two shots of 150 proof whiskey that you drink WoC.

small I called you a lightweight because you clearly stated you were "sampling" wine. I consider myself a middleweight when it comes to drinking.
I can easily down an entire bottle of 40proof wine and not be drunk. I doubt you drank that much on your sampling fest. I just don't see how you were drunk enough to "slur" your text.
Face it if you got drunk sampling wine your a lightweight. Now drinking vast amounts of wine is not 'sampling' it.
