Archer Help. (in General)

Sorry this post is convoluted and hard to understand. I'm writing questions and then looking up the answers and deleting them, leaving holes in the post...

My character Eoyane is the first archer character I've played since CB1. Way back then, I knew what I was doing with ranged and everything and had a clear strategy for it. Now I'm not sure I do. I really only started an Archer because I got sick to death of playing the same mage strategies forever and never getting anywhere.
So I remember how to play an archer with IAs and an amulet that gave extra money. Help~

How is damage actually calculated now? How does strength come into it?
Is there actually a general formula that shows how much each factor matters?
This NCB run is more to test the waters and get a feel for what I'm doing, as well as to make some cash to support my next run.

Here are my numbers for reference:
Hit Points: 848,052
Armor: 51
Strength: 1,309,541 / 848,066
Dexterity: 1,394,706 / 848,077
Archery: 1.00 / 0.87

Truth Seeker (Named MSK) [5x1015] (+50)
EBs are 21, BGs are 13, HoC is +8. ToA level 925,043 (Have another tat waiting until the character gets big enough)

I've only just started looking at it and my average damage ranges from 80k to 120k. I assume that counts after armour, which I have also not paid attention it years.
All I'm doing at the moment is 1/3, 1/2, maximum into HP, Str and Dex respectively and making sure my Archery stays at 1.00. I figured that if I just kept the ratio equal while I got on my feet and looked at it later, it'd be fine. Now its a bit past later and I don't really know what to do.

Is it more important to raise Dex a lot more to get double/triple hits, or to raise strength more to get more damage on individual hits?
Do enemy DBs reduce my overall pth, or just the + on my bow?

What I need help with is what I should focus my XP and money into. Chances are, I'll just keep funnelling my money into the x on my bow, but the XP I'm not so sure on.
I wasn't going to get an OE because I didn't want to dilute my damage output, but now I realise I don't really know how much my statistics matter for damage.

Is it worth investing in a melee weapon, or should I just focus on the bow? Maybe I'll get one as a drop! Hahaha, just kidding. I'll never get a drop.

Advise me, please!

I'm running a single tank, I'm using archery simply because I like using bows and it's the only way to do it.

Firstly the mageseeker: people will tell you it's not worth using, but it is if you boost it's damage. As you're using a ToA I'll tell you this, you don't need to pump the PTH. The ToA will take care of it. You could keep the bow at 0 pth and just keep pumping cash into the X. I did that until I stopped using a tattoo, and Sickone does the same. A 4 mill lvl ToA gives you about 135 PTH if your bow is zero.

Is your current tattoo over your max tat level? If not then use the bigger, because although you're not growing the tattoo you're getting the most you can from it if you're working right up to max tat level.

You need to make sure you have enough HP. Also go for as much strength and dex as you can manage. I don't know an ideal ratio, but those three stats are equally important. Dex makes a huge difference when you're fighting other tanks. I've 4.5 mill dex, which is one of the highest in the game, so that gives you an idea of how much of that you need. I've 8.5 mill strength with a x5781 mageseeker. I get on average about 600k per strike from that.

So essentially I'd say you have a pretty good handle on things: invest in the weapon X and continue to pump all three stats.

Somebody once said to me 'what's the point of a wimpy tank?' and it's true: strong as you can and fast too is the best way.

My tat is under. I'll follow your advice and use my better one that is far over when this current one will sell for enough to cover my debt (which will be next week or so).

As I have +50 on my bow, would it be worth DEing that to pump my x a bit more? I'm loath to do it, since it's a waste of money, but if it'll help in the end...

Depends on how much money it would give you to disenchant.

The other reason for having a PTH at zero is that PTH affects your PR. If you are only pumping the weapon X it doesn't affect your PR at all. Lower PR can equal better rewards. ToA PTH doesn't add any extra to your PR.....

But I'd leave it alone if it isn't going to give you a lot of cash, or if it is going to lose you a lot of cash.

Whatever you choose to do you don't need to worry about PTH anymore.

You don't have to add any further PTH on the bow but it doesn't really change much if you leave the current PTH as it is.
