New Idea (in General)

{WW]Nayab [Cult of the Valaraukar] July 6 2009 1:30 AM EDT

I know i have a lot of them and many don't make much sense but bare with me.

I am watching the new tournament and reckon EC could be changed for the better.

What if EC worked in a way similar to AMF?

Here is the idea

EO spell called Fatigue.
Its level is compared to the opponents Str and Dex. Fatigue Lvl - (Str+Dex)/2
Calculate the ratio {Fatigue level/ [(Str+dex)/2]}, after all bonuses/penalties; call this X.
If X<1 (that is, Fatigue weaker than stats) then effect is X^(0.7)/2
If X>1 (Fatigue stronger than stats) effect is 1 - 1/(2X)

So say i had a Fatigue level of 20,000 and they had strength 21,000 dex 20,000
ratio would be 40/41
Fatigue is weaker so 40/41^(0.7)/2 which is .49
Any physical damage they dealt would be reduced by .49 and the reduced damage would be returned to them.

Thoughts and opinions please.

EC doesn't need to be made worse.

This idea is for a REPLACEMENT of EC. Sorry if I didn't make that clear in the first post.

Also make it lower the level of Str and Dex by 1/3 of the level as well as all the stuff from above, that make it better?

It would either be ridiculously bad vs. boosted ST or ridiculously good vs. unboosted ST.

Actually i was thinking about this and i think i should make a change to it.
Rather than replace EC i think it should be added as a new spell.
Fatigue. 564 experience to train initially
Its level is compared to the opponents Str and Dex. Fatigue Lvl - (Str+Dex)/2
Calculate the ratio {Fatigue level/ [(Str+dex)/2]}, after all bonuses/penalties including EC; call this X.

This way on a 2 minion team this would be insane.

Otherwise i have an idea to upgrade EC.

EC is calculated now but every round 1/3 of the previous rounds EC is added to the level.
This added EC would be rounded normally
E.g. I have an EC lvl 800 which gives 420 reduction of Str and dex.
That would count for Round 1 of combat.
Round 2 an additional 140 is added to the EC making it 560 total.
Round 3 an additional 27 making it 587 total
Round 4 an additional 9 making it 596 total
Round 5 an additional 3 making it 599 total
Round 6 an additional 1 making it 600 total

Further thoughts on this new concept please.

I find it hard to believe that there is no further contributions to this idea. Come on people, surely you have an opinion!

They have bigger fish to fry (Exbow/Axbow). Especially, when there's no real reason to change EC.

The point of EC is to be a tank counter, at which it doesn't do a very good job. Since people have brought up in the Exbow thread by Jon that there needs to be a tank counter, if EC was ramped up, then we could just get rid of Exbow/Axbow altogether.

good point Gols, i will stop pushing this thread now.

I was speaking in favor of your idea :)
Whether fatigue added or substituted for EC, it goes with what I said in my previous post.

Yeah but i can stop pushing this thread by bringing it into the exbow/axbow thread :)
