is it possible for the usb internet sticks to be able to plug into the PS3 and use it for internet?
"usb internet sticks"
Are you talking about cell phone network based connections?

That's a good question. I know the USB sticks work fine for storage, but you want to use the USB for things I am betting Sony is scared of (scared for no good reason)...
Can you use the stick in something else then hook up via Ethernet or wireless? Those both work, I know that...
Beyond that, you'd need a hack, I should think. Google "PS3 USB hack". I'm pretty good at relational Google answer-getting, if that is even a thing.
The only thing the stick would be good for is downloading updates, the latency on those networks is far to high for any real gaming.
